Today I’ve got the exciting news that the next From Ashes update (yes I know it’s been a while!) will be out soon – August 5th to be exact.
A big focus of this update is to further streamline the gaming experience, reducing the ‘mental maths’ that comes with any table-top game, so you can focus on the decision making for your forces.
Here’s a little look at a couple of profiles – a Drop Pod and a Harvester Shield Mech, both from the Xeraak Triarchy.
Not a great deal has changed, but the keen-eyed among you will notice that there’s two new stats – Size and Enclosed. These are fairly self explanatory and hint at the way Engage Commands have been updated, speeding up gameplay with a common set of values across all units. Size is identical to the old Large Target rule, where the number increases the accuracy of those shooting at it, while Enclosed is the number of Blast Markers ignored when the Unit itself uses its weapons.
